Psychological Evaluations
Our psychological assessments provide valuable insight into cognitive functioning, emotional well-being, and behavioral patterns. Dr. Lovinger uses standardized testing and clinical interviews to develop treatment plans tailored to each individual’s needs. These evaluations offer clarity and guidance, helping you and your family better understand and address specific concerns.
We work to clarify diagnoses and provide appropriate treatment recommendations, including referrals for additional interventions when needed.
Forensic Evaluations
Dr. Lovinger conducts forensic evaluations addressing a range of legal questions, including substance use assessments and competency evaluations. Findings are thorough and balanced, with attention to the specific circumstances of each case. Complex information is communicated clearly, helping all parties understand the results and implications.
Divorce/Custody Evaluations
Our child-centered evaluations assist families and courts in making decisions that support children’s best interests during transitions. Dr. Lovinger considers each family’s unique circumstances, focusing on developmental needs, emotional well-being, and adjustment factors. The evaluation process is impartial and attentive to the welfare of the child throughout family restructuring.
Educational and Psychological Evaluation for Children
Dr. Lovinger and staff conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify children’s strengths and challenges, addressing concerns such as ADHD, learning differences, autism, and behavioral issues. Assessments are designed to be child-friendly and considerate of each child’s individual needs. The evaluation process provides clear insights and practical guidance to support development, well-being, and educational success at home and in school.
Parent Coordination
Dr. Lovinger offers Parent Coordination services for divorced or separated parents experiencing high conflict. As a neutral third party, he helps implement parenting plans, facilitates communication, and mediates disputes to reduce the need for repeated court involvement. The goal is to support effective co-parenting and minimize children’s exposure to parental conflict, prioritizing their well-being throughout the process.
Reunification Services
Dr. Lovinger provides reunification services for families experiencing estrangement between children and parents. The process includes comprehensive assessment to understand the factors contributing to fractured relationships and the development of individualized strategies to address them. Using structured, evidence-based protocols and guided interactions, the focus is on rebuilding trust and connection while maintaining emotional safety for all family members.
Clinical Psychopharmacology Services
Dr. Lovinger holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychopharmacology and evaluates how medications may affect psychological functioning. He assesses pharmacological treatments alongside therapeutic interventions to help optimize treatment outcomes. For clients receiving both therapy and medication, this integrated approach supports coordinated care for both psychological and physiological aspects of mental health. When needed, these evaluations are conducted in collaboration with the patient’s prescribing physician.
Mediation Services
Dr. Lovinger offers mediation services to help families resolve conflicts through collaborative problem-solving. Serving as a neutral facilitator, he provides a structured environment for parties to express concerns, identify shared interests, and develop mutually acceptable solutions. This voluntary process typically results in more sustainable agreements than court-imposed decisions, addressing both practical issues and emotional well-being.
